We love this doll set though the tiny parts can be hard to keep up withJan 17, 2008
By Mama Have to agree with the first reviewer in that the materials are incredibly strong. Also, my 3 year old daughter does occasionally get frustrated and ask for help, but when she is playing alone she miraculously is able to get the dresses on/off without whining for help. (Funny how that is...) Only thing that's annoying about this set is the teeny tiny shoes. Grandma got a set and the shoes stay on. We bought a set and go figure, the shoes fall off more easily. My daughter just LOVES to change the shoes constantly. So we're helping with that. Other thing is the shoes are so tiny they're incredibly easy to lose--especially Cinderella's glass slipper. We immediately lost it in the carpet because it was invisible. But I remedied that by marking the soles with a permanent marker, so they'd be visible when off the doll. It's a tad high maintenance IF you're anal about not losing the small parts.
One thing I particularly love is how portable a large collection is. We have five dolls with all the accessories and they fit in a small case. The more stuff she can interchange with, the longer she is having fun and kept occupied. This was great on a recent trip out town because of this.
Side note (semi-related): I saw a version of this set at Disney World last week (Jan 2008) and even though the dolls had a lot more clothes in their box, the faces on those dollies were hideous. Literally. The Cinderella has an interchangeable head (so you can change her hair-do) and honestly each "princess" looked like she needed a make-over. There was way too much make-up and their expression looked like they had just been freakishly scared by something.
I did see an awesome Minnie Mouse doll with interchangeable dresses at Disney World and bought it for my daughter to surprise her with later. It's only available at Disney (or through the catalog or perhaps in MCO airport) for $19.99. Oh, and the face on her was actually cute. Again, small parts (you have to take off Minnie's big ol' man hands to get her dresses off/on LOL! ;) but again, if you or your child is careful with their things, this aspect isn't too bad. Worth Googling for or looking on Amazon or e bay.

Poor Quality - Liked by childJul 16, 2008
By 3xMother These may be appealing to children but they are poorly constructed. My child has had these for less than 2 months and all of the heads have come off (and they do not go back together).

Disappointed Mom with Disappointed GirlsMar 21, 2009

"Disappointed Mom"
My two preschoolers initially loved these mini princess dolls. Yes, the rubber clothes are durable and don't rip, though the long sleeved dresses are nearly impossible to fit on the Ariel or Sleeping Beauty dolls (long hair gets in the way). But my girls have already managed to pull the heads of 4 dolls off, as well as one leg and one are off of another of the dolls. I've spent a fortune replacing each broken doll. The girls were merely trying to put the dresses on, when the heads broke off. And once off, the heads can't be reattached. Then all you have on your hands are sad little girls, wondering how quickly mom or dad will get them new ones. Good idea, but very poor construction.

One of my daughter's favorites, but not that durable.May 30, 2010
By pixiemama My daughter is 3 and she LOVES this toy! She never gets tired of playing with it. She has had it for 7 months and plays with them almost everyday. It is her go-to toy. The little dolls would be much better if the heads did not pop off. My daughter used to hold their heads to try to take the dresses off and this is how her Ariel doll broke. She has since learned not to hold the head, but to hold the body. As stated in other reviews, the head does not refasten at all. I had one success trying to use a small pin to hold the piece that locks the head to the body. It worked once, but took me over 30 minutes to get it on, only to have it pop off 5 minutes later. The dresses rip from too much force trying to pull them on or off. The pieces are tiny and easy to lose, but she somehow manages to keep some of the shoes paired. Overall, I don't love the toy but my daughter definitely does.
UPDATE (1/10/12): My rating stays the same, but my daughter is now 5 and she STILL loves these little dolls! They are no longer her go-to toy, but they still get played with on a weekly/biweekly basis.

My daughter is in LOVENov 05, 2009
By Falc My daughter is in love with these princesses. She is only 2 so we have hidden all the smaller items but she doesn't care. All she cares about is the "ladies" as we call them and of course their dresses. She carries them 24/7, Literally! She goes to bed w/ them and will wake up with them in the same hand, she bathes, eats, and goes on the playground with them. We joke that she has a death grip on these dolls. She has her favorites (Aurora and Bell) but it does change on any given day. At 2 years old she can sit and play for hours by herself making up stories and scenarios for these dolls. She has them talk and act out parts of the movies. I think these dolls have helped with our daughters vocabulary and definitely with her imaginative play. Although she can't dress them herself yet she can undress them and she has fun pretending and of course asking mommy to re-dress them. I would recommend these to anyone who has a child who loves the princesses.
